It has been a busy week for Community RePaint in the South West!
Community RePaint is 20 years old! During the week of 15 – 21 July 2013, the national paint re-use network, Community RePaint, celebrates 20 years of collecting and re-distributing unwanted paint to help brighten the lives of others.
During summer 2009, Resource Futures’ Katie Winterborne has been working as part of the ‘Lighting Up’ project in Bristol which aims to bring the benefits of art into the lives of those with dementia (and also to the lives of their carers).
50 million litres of paint are wasted in the UK every year, but we want to change this. With the International Bristol Balloon Fiesta in full swing, we want to reflect on this.
Run by SOFA project, central Bristol now has a new Community RePaint scheme!
Castle School Friends give the school a new lick of paint and prove how amazing it is when communities come together.
Leftover paint doesn’t need to go to waste and can be used to create beautiful murals.
Jules picked up paint in Bristol from our scheme Bristol City.
Our scheme in Wythenshawe was lucky enough to be joined by Hydrock Consultancy this month to get painting!
Using paint from our Bristol South Community RePaint scheme, a local artist has depicted the iconic Glastonbury Tor to perfection!
