Check out what artist @alecldn created with 100% preloved paint from Community RePaint East London at @forestrecyclingproject

He was awarded the commission to create a 180-degree mural at Enfield’s flagship Arts & Cultural hub @dugdaleartscentre In collaboration with the @connectnlwa.

He also led public sustainability engagement workshops with the local community & @stannes_n13 to gather insights on what should be depicted, focusing on themes of nature, community, musical and manufacturing heritage. The entire mural was created for under £17 🤯🥳

📣We're excited to share some amazing statistics from the Community RePaint network for 2024!📣

Across the UK, our member organisations are rescuing paint from waste and redistributing it to homes and community spaces. Instead of ending up as landfill, this paint is helping to brighten lives—356,800 lives in 2024, to be precise.

Last year, we diverted 366,538 litres of paint from landfill, the equivalent of 990,500kg of CO2!

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved – but there's a lot more paint to save, and more rooms to paint too, so help us on our mission to end paint waste today! 🌍🎨♻

So how does paint reuse actually work? Well, our nationwide network of members collect in paint to save it going to waste and stock it in their shop at an affordable price. It's paint from projects, homes, shops and manufacturers - all sorts of types and colours and in full or part-full tins.

This means anyone can buy paint for a bargain price, and save it from incineration or landfill.

Better for people, pockets and the planet. Hoorah!

This is something we want to see at every Recycling Centre in the UK because reusable paint should never be disposed of.
