Community RePaint launches at Fengate HRC in Peterborough.

We’re excited to be partnering with Peterborough City Council to bring a new Community RePaint drop-off and collection point to the Household Recycling Centre (HRC) in Fengate.

Residents can now donate good-quality leftover paint or pick up reusable tins for free to support their own home improvement or community projects. Every tin that’s reused is one less going to waste, helping to reduce the 50 million litres of paint disposed of each year in the UK.

This new service keeps paint in use for longer, cutting down on waste and giving valuable materials a second life. It also supports local residents and community groups by providing access to free, affordable decorating supplies, making it easier for people to improve their spaces.

The scheme has already proven to be a great success – a soft launch at the start of April, saw a high level of engagement, with most of the storage racking quickly filling up with donated paint. This early success highlights both the demand for the service and the community’s willingness to get involved.

Thank you to Peterborough City Council and residents of Peterborough for doing your bit to help end paint waste for good.
