Hot on the heels of Community RePaint Torfaen, Community RePaint Nottinghamshire also launched in August 2010 and once again, ‘Don’ the Dulux Dog was on hand to strike a pose! The scheme was officially opened at both the Calverton and Worksop Household Waste Recycling Centres, where the paint is sorted and stored by Veolia staff and redistributed by Nottinghamshire County Council.

Gerry Nelson, from the Calverton Miners Welfare Trust, accepted the first tin of paint from Don and the launch was also attended by Councillor Richard Butler, Amy Roberts and Ashleigh Salmon from Veolia Environmental Services, Alice Stechly and Helen Lester from Nottinghamshire County Council and Katie Wilson from RCAN (Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire).
