Do you know about our scheme, Community RePaint Torfaen?

They first began in 2010 and since 2015 they have prevented 14,000 litres of paint from going to waste, helping more than 1290 individuals and 513 organisations source affordable paint for their home or project.

They have been running their Community RePaint scheme since 2010 in a converted shipping container located on the car park of The Threepenny Bit Community Centre, making optimum use of space. They collect part-full and full containers of paint from traders, retailers and manufacturers in the region.

The scheme is run by CoStar, an independent local charity formed in 2000 by a small group of residents with a passion to help their community. They are involved in an ever-increasing range of diverse projects aimed at supporting their local communities. These include a Community Food Sharing Programme, Breakfast & Bingo, Art and Craft classes, Community Work Clubs, Ancestry classes and many more.
