About the scheme

Community Furniture Store is a charity with three main goals – the provision of affordable, or free, furniture, household appliances and IT equipment; preservation of the environment through reuse; and offering volunteering/work opportunities to the long-term unemployed or disadvantaged. The Community RePaint scheme complements this well, enabling Community Furniture Stores in Scarborough, York and Selby to also offer their customers a source of affordable paint, available to purchase from £2.00 per litre.

To pick up paint for your project, simply visit the scheme during its opening hours.

Stock at Community RePaint schemes does vary throughout the year depending on what paint has recently been passed on for reuse by local businesses, traders and/or waste contractors in the area.

If there are specific types or colours of paint you are interested in purchasing for your project, we recommend contacting the scheme directly ahead of visiting, to find out if they have the paint you’re looking for in stock.
