Community Solutions North West was established just 18 months ago but has already gained recognition for the services they provide to their local community. As well as successfully running Community RePaint East Lancashire they also deliver a befriending service, food bank and football academy.
The combination of their work on redirecting food and paint from landfill to those in social need was recognised at the Red Rose Resource Awards presented by the Lancashire Community Recycling Network. Community Solutions North West was awarded the ‘Best Community Enterprise’ award for their outstanding and lasting contribution to the community waste sector. This honour also came with a £1,000 cheque to invest in furthering their activities.
