About the scheme

If you are a resident in the London Boroughs of Wandsworth, Lambeth, Hammersmith and Fulham, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, or the City of Westminster and you have leftover paint from your home that you’d like to pass on for reuse, you can use the drop-off point on-site.

Our scheme in East London will then come and collect it, and take it back to their premises, where it is made available to individuals and groups in need.

You must book a slot to drop off paint at the Smugglers Way recycling centre prior to arriving at this Household Waste Recycling Centre. Click here to book a slot through the Western Riverside Waste Authority website. Alternatively, you can book a slot to visit the site via your local council. You can come to the recycling centre by car, motorbike, bicycle or on foot.

This centre is for use by residents only. If you are a business, please click here to see how we can help get your paint reused.

Please note, if you are not a member of one of these local authorities you will not be eligible to access the site. If there is no drop-off point in your local authority area, you will need to contact your local authority directly for guidance on what to do with your leftover paint. You can also adapt this template letter to encourage your local authority to consider collecting leftover paint for reuse at their sites.
